It installs within a door’s frame and monitors the use of that door, enabling security monitoring and powering intelligent automation.

Invisible installation. Installing the Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 is child's play. Pairing with a Z-Wave smart home system requires nothing more than activating the battery and scanning the QR code. To make the door sensor invisible, all you need is a hidden drill hole in the door frame.

Perfectly upgraded with Aeotec's Gen7 technology. The Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 features Z-Wave Plus V2, S2 Wireless Security and SmartStart installation.

Up to 2 years battery life. With its completely new technology, the Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 now lasts twice as long as older models. The battery is changed by removing the Recessed Door Sensor 7 from the door frame. The battery is then replaced and the sensor is simply reinserted into the door frame.

Monitor when a door is opened or closed. Trigger smart automations or routines when your door is opened or closed.

Compatible with Z-Wave systems. The Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 is compatible with Z-Wave and Z-Wave Plus gateways.
